How to Calculate Car CC Easily, Here's the Formula

How to Calculate Car CC Easily, Here's the Formula

When someone wants to buy a car, there are several aspects to consider, such as the type of car propulsion system , capacity, AC, CC, and so on. However, the aspect most often asked by car buyers is CC (Cubicle Centimeter (Cm3). This aspect determines the performance of the car when maneuvering.

The greater the CC the car has, the faster its speed. However, if you want to choose a car that is more fuel efficient, you can choose a CC that is not too big. The following will explain how to easily calculate the CC of a car.

How to Calculate Car CC Easily

When you want to know how many CC the car you want to buy, you must know the calculation formula. CC car engines have a calculation unit Cm3, namely Centimeter x Centimeter x Centimeter = Cubicle Centimeter (Cm3).

Besides you have to memorize this unit formula, you also have to memorize the cylinder calculation formula. So that you are not confused, pay attention to the formula and examples of calculations below.

1. The formula for calculating the volume of a cylinder

Suppose a cylinder has a radius of 5 cm and a length of 13 cm. To find out the volume of the cylinder, you must perform the calculation in the following way.

3.14 x (5x5) x 13 = 1020.5 cc

2. The formula for calculating the combustion chamber

Suppose the engine combustion chamber has a diameter of 10 cm, and the piston area (l) is 13 cm. So to find out the volume of the combustion chamber, you have to do the calculation in the following way.

3.14/4 x (10x10) x 13 = 1020.5 cc

If you observe the calculation of the formula for calculating the volume of the cylinder with the formula for calculating the combustion chamber, it will produce the same calculation value.

Furthermore, to find out the volume of the combustion chamber, you must first know the volume of the stroke on the piston (stroker / L mark on the piston). In addition, you also have to know the diameter of the combustion chamber (bore). So that you are not confused, pay attention to the formula below.

Example of Calculation :

You have an All New Daihatsu Xenia 2022 car with the 2NR-VE engine type. This car has a diameter (bore) of 72.5 mm and a stroke of 90.6 mm. Before you do the calculation of the volume of the combustion chamber, you must first convert the units of mm to cm.

Diameter (Bore) = 72.5 mm = 7.25 cm

Piston step (L/Stroke) = 90.6 mm = 9.06 cm

After you have become cm, you can only calculate the volume of the combustion chamber as follows.

= 3.14/4 x (7.25 x 7.25) x 9.06
= 0.785 x 52.56 x 9.06
= 373.81 cc

The CC value for one combustion chamber (1 cylinder) for the All New Daihatsu Xenia 2022 car has a CC value of 373.81 cc.

As is known, the All New Daihatsu Xenia 2022 car has 4 cylinders. So the total CC for this car is 373.81 cc x 4 (cylinder) = 1,495.24 cc or rounded up to 1,500 cc.

Those are the formulas that you can memorize when you want to calculate the cc of the car you are going to buy. After you read the reviews above, do you understand how to calculate it.

If you want to buy a car, but are confused about determining the right car cc, you can visit the nearest Daihatsu dealer . Here you will be guided by sales and marketing professionals in choosing the right car according to the specifications you want. Are you interested in proposing one of the Daihatsu cars?
